You can wish your life away not being happy and grateful for what you have right now.
There will always be a new gadget you want, a better house to live in, easier times when the kids are out of ‘that’ stage, body weight to loose, a better job, more money in the bank, a flashier car .. YAHDEE YAHHHHDEEEE YAHHHDA.
Or quite simply .. you could just let all of that go and just be happy with what you have right now. However, little that is.
Life does not need to be a facade.
Stop comparing yourself to someone else’s picture.
What you possess or the outer frame of who you are does not need to be what defines you.
You are what defines you. The stuff on the inside. That is you my friend. The other stuff is just stuff. Stuff that you do need to maintain but by no means is the reason for being happy or not happy.
Now I am not suggesting you can’t have dreams to be happy. Everyone needs dreams.
But if there are things in your daily living that you hold off on doing because you haven’t lost that weight yet, or you still rent a little shit box and not own the palace you long for well you need to drop that stuff pronto.
Whilst living in that shit box, why don’t you have those friends over for a dinner party and make the dining room table amazing? Fill it with food and laughter. You will never forget it. Any friends that turn you down because of your shit box need to be scratched from your lineup anyway.
How about going and jumping in the pool with the kids? The jelly belly is always going to be there in your head even if you manage to get rid of it…the kids won’t be kids for long, and they won’t even notice.
Do you get what I am saying here?
Life is too short to be hung up on this sort of stuff.
- If you’re one that finds yourself easily comparing what you don’t have with others that do have, remove yourself.
- If your friends lead a life you cannot afford, do what you can afford. If they love you they will still hang your way.
- If the online world is what is making you feel not happy with what you have, get out of it more often. Life is bigger than perception, and someone else’s styled image of what they want you to believe is their norm.
You just need to really and truly believe that all you have right now in this world is enough and just being you is more than adequate.
Just. As. You. Are
