Dessert For Dinner .. Mr MMM strikes again.

15 March, 2013

Yesterday afternoon I had a very unsettled little man. I blame myself for it. I had decided to see if we could cease the morning dose of reflux medication. By lunch time he was grumpy and wanting to be carried all the time. By afternoon tea time he was burping and crying in pain. SO we won’t be doing that again anytime soon.

By the time Mr MMM walked in the door I was feeling a little down. Dinner was a free for all, as the girls were away for the night and I just couldn’t be asked! Left overs it was for Lil D and I and Mr MMM just lurked around the kitchen exploring the pantry and fridge.

I ended up calling an end to the grumpy and tired boy war by lying down with Lil D to get him off to sleep. Of course I was pinning on Pinterest at the same time as Lil D headed off to the land of nod.

It was whilst being immersed in Easter Schmeister Pins I received this picture message from Mr MMM.

RUDE! Rule of Being A Good Husband 101..NOT SHARING ICE CREAM – BROKEN.

He was eating this for dinner and doing so without me. (He has now been delegated Head Chef in our house for the next 7 days as punishment … We maybe getting this served up each night 😉 )

In his defence the dish wasn’t tooooo unhealthy. He had sprinkled some of the Mother Earth mixed nuts on top that we were sent to trial a couple of weeks ago.

Have you heard of or tried any of the Mother Earth products yet? I hadn’t until a lovely package arrived in the mail with a range of their bars and nuts. It was funny because we opened the box in the car at the post office (as you do.. we call it parcel impatience) and the kids wanted to start trialling straight away… And of course I said no because I needed to take pictures first lol. (Bloggers priority 😉 )

A little bit later we were at the grocery store and I ran into my friend who owns a fussy toddler similar to our fussy toddler and she was showing me this box of bars that her Mr Fussy just loves.. And guess what ? Yep you guessed it. They were from Mother Earth.

So that weekend, whilst it poured with rain and a creek formed, running through my downstairs laundry and our town become cut off from the rest of the world for the 2nd time this year,we feasted on the Mother Earth Slices and Nuts.

I rarely buy packet products for the kids to snack on and mostly cook up muffins and biscuits myself so I can regulate the sugar and hide wickedly healthy things in them.  So this was a BIG treat and a tasting task everyone took very seriously.

Quote from Miss M whilst chewing a mouthful of Mother Earth Choc Chip Oaty Slice, ‘These bars are so good Mum they taste like you have made them’.

So they must be good huh??? Well actually they are delicious and made from ethically-sourced, great tasting natural ingredients with minimal processing.

Mother Earth’s nutritious snacks are available in Australia at Coles and Woolworths.

Ok now for the fun bit.  The kind people at Mother Earth have offered me 2 gift packs valued at more than $60 each to giveaway. Yah!! I love giveaways … Especially yummy, healthy ones like this one.

So click on the rafflecopter link below to place your entries.

Please note immediate family of MMM are not allowed to enter … Looking at you Head Chef aka Mr MMM.

Hey just wanted to give you a quick heads up. The text in your post seem to be running off the screen in Ie.
I’m not sure if this is a format issue or something to do with internet browser compatibility but I thought I’d post to let you know.

The style and design look great though! Hope you get the
    issue resolved soon. Thanks
