The Magic Of Myer’s Giftorium

23 October, 2014

Last Friday, Lil D and I were invited to be guests of Myer for the launch of their Giftorium.

Lil D was bursting at the seems to get there .. can you tell?

The Giftorium is like nothing I have ever experienced in a department store in Australia before. We had a blast wandering around absorbing the launch of the Giftorium. It wasn’t just a Christmas shopping experience for us; it was magical, fun and great service.

I kid you not. Staff have been trained to not just to service their Giftorium customers, but to bring them a magical and fun experience.

Lil D stood staring at one staff member who was dressed in a quirky Christmas outfit and pulled a glowing ball out of her hands, ears and mouth. There was also twirling ribbons and Santa’s elves wandering around scribing letters to Santa from the children.

The face painting obviously was a hit.  Pink Tiger’s all the way!

As we wandered through the store, I was excited to see so many interesting types of gifts (most I had never seen before). There was tin toys for the little ones, boxes of magic tricks for the older kids, trendy stuff for tweens, unique ideas for the hard to buy for man in your life, affordable fun for those secret santa games we often find ourselves in and all were very affordable!

I couldn’t help but feel that Myer has set the standard for Christmas this year. The Giftorium has brought back the magic of Christmas that is often lost in the chaos of festive shopping.

There was a Vistaprint counter to order those more personalised gifts, Gifticians for the personal shopper experience, Producticians to provide demonstrations of the latest must haves and even an elf delivery service for same day deliver in the CBD.

For those not able to visit in store, you can visit the Giftorium online. You are even able to book a time with Santa from the website, to ensure your kids get that special moment this year with the big man.

Here is a small selection of what you will find in the Giftorium.

A little something for that favourite babe in your life.

Undies in a jar.  Perfect for the impossible to buy for person.  Everyone needs undies.

In store monograming of gorgeous leather goods, from wallets to belts to portfolios.

A Benefit Advent Calendar.  YES YOU HEARD ME CORRECTLY.  Jam packed with Benefit goodies.

Something for the lady with everything … ie. Mother In Laws maybe?

 Something for the boss…

Something for the work mate …

Something for Mrs MMM or other antler addicts.

Something more for Mrs MMM to replace other statement cups in her possession.

Something for Mrs BC, Mrs MMM and all other wine lovers out there.

A fabulous journal for those that need to express themselves through writing. (personal fav)

I almost spent my budget on this one.  But her Mum wasn’t keen to give her up.

 ANTLERS!! Need I say more?

We are planning to return to the Giftorium when Santa arrives.  Taking full advantage of the Gifticians and all that gorgeous glitter gift wrap.

NB.  We were guests of Myer for the launch of the Giftorium, but this post is my honest opinion.  If you get a chance to check out the Giftorium, please do .  You will LOVE IT.

Hey, thanks for that awesome picture of me! I’ve shared it on my post and linked back to you. It was lovely to see you and your adorable son again. I really think having your gifts delivered by a fleet of elves in costume is going to be a game changer this Christmas.
