One Positive Change

19 March, 2012

I have become a little bit obsessed with my blog of late. I want to take it to another level. I want to get right into this thing called blogging and social networking but have been oh so overwhelmed.

Thankfully, there are some great bloggers out there who offer their time, knowledge and experience to the likes of moi and with that I had input into my calendar some blogging prompts for the next few months.

Today’s tell me…One positive change.

So here it is.

The very fact that I am sitting writing this blog at 9.54pm at night is testament that I have made one positive change. Prior to this I would of been still trying to settle my overtired fractious baby and tearing my hair out that I didn’t get that desperatly needed shower in the 40 minutes he was asleep.

Yes in the past month my darling husband and I have worked tirelessly on noticing Lil D’s tired signs and whisking him off to his bed to settle him to sleep before he becomes over tired. We do the exact same thing every single time we put him to bed and finally…we have a bedtime of an evening and two day sleeps.

His reflux has improved (despite some set backs from time to time) and at the tender age of 10 months is toddling around the house chasing his big sisters.

So there is my positive change. Our baby now sleeps.

My goals used to be huge, at work and at home. I used to frequently feel like crap for not ever achieving them. I would compare myself to others and become frustrated.

Not today though. It has taken a month to get to this point. The point where I have a happy little boy when he is awake and a point where I have time to get excited about this little personal adventure of mine called Blogging.

One positive change at a time…with no time limit…

Thats all.

Massive congratulations on establishing a better sleep pattern – it’s such a huge relief when it finally happens! Very inspiring post to remind us all to take one thing at a time and be thankful for achieving EVERY goal. x
