Stop Covering School Books – Amazing Life Hack #3

You need to stop covering your kid’s school books the old-fashioned way… it is time-wasting and taxing on the nerves!

Yes I am talking about contact or that sticky decorated plastic which can cause any mild-mannered Mother to start spitting all sorts of profanities across the universe.

You know how it goes don’t you?  You think you have the perfect book cover happening only to turn the darn thing over to discover it is all bubbled?  arrggggh! [insert swearsies]

I am a ‘book coverer’ from way back.  I used to lovingly wrap my own books for school at the beginning of the year with beautiful wrapping papers and clear contact to protect my hard work from being ruined in my school bag or school desk.

It was my thing I loved doing back then and as a parent it become the thing I loved doing for my kids when they started school.

The reality is however,  the amount of books my kids  need covering is making this task almost impossible to find the time to do it amongst everything else that needs to be done at the beginning of the school year.

Last year we were given the opportunity to review some back to school essentials from 2 kool 4 skool.  There was one item I was most excited to trial more than anything. it was their book covers.  Not only did  they come in different sizes but the kids were mighty impressed with the funky designs.

I guess you are keen to hear about if these book covers lasted all year?

Well yes they did.  In fact you would have no idea they aren’t brand new and some of these books were used for homework, so were dragged backwards and forwards.   We  have taken them off the old books now and will be using them again this year.

I love a product that stands the test of time and I can assure you that you have found a much quicker and easier way to ensure kid’s books are well protected by using book covers like these.

Now if  your  budget is tight for back to school this year, why not just one pack of covers this year for the homework books?  Next year you maybe able to buy some more and build up your supply.

NB : This is not a sponsored post.  Just sharing a great product that will save you time and money.

Awesome idea, very nifty! We’ll have to stick with the contact this year (pun intended) but hopefully next year the budget will allow for these handy and cool book covers instead. Thanks for sharing. 🙂

Love the covers, they do make life easier. One thing I did resort to from desperation, but has now become tradition, is taking a favourite photo of a special time or a picture from the internet with their name and other info needed – printed onto an A4 sheet, then contacted onto the book cover. Makes them smile when they see their books, easy to cover and something a little bit special.
