I was simply saying how I needed to be better at dealing with it.
I was voicing my plan out loud.
I was saying it to gather my strength. My momentum.
I was ready to get a pat on the back for my show of courage and strength.
I thought I had turned the corner.
Then she said.
Stop picking on yourself.
Take a deep breath and forget all that. You don’t need to go down that road.
You have become so much more than that.
Smile on and and be the person the other isn’t.
What she said was right.
