This recipe comes to you via the need to keep Miss M well nourished after her fundoplication last week. She has always quiet liked the commercial oat drinks you can buy in the popper packs so I decided to attempt making my own version for her.
Turns out I have found a delicious breakfast drink that is easy to have whilst on the run to work too. I used my thermomix but the recipe is easily converted to a blender.
1 cup of Oats
500 Mls milk
A loving lashing of honey
1 tsp of vanilla extract
1. Place oats into TM bowl and mix for 60 seconds, speed 9 until oats become a flour consistency.
2. Throw in remaining ingredients with oat flour and mix on speed 5 for 30 seconds.
3. For a warm version, 90 degrees, speed 4 for 2 minutes. This allows the mixture to thicken a little. Perfect for those cold winters mornings.
This recipe makes a large batch, so I placed mine in a glass jar in the fridge, and have heated it up as we needed it.
