Would You Tell Me If …

28 April, 2013

My blog posts make you want to stab your eyeballs ?

Well would you?

I hope so. I can take it. Truly I can. The last thing I wish to be is boring or sappy.

I may not be the best writer but I would like my place as in this place, MMM, to be a place you like visiting.

I read a blog post yesterday where the blogger questioned where all the good blogs have gone? I have to agree with her. I have idolised some bloggers but they no longer talk about things I can relate to. It is their business now and that is purely ok with me. I will still stalk my idolised bloggers still but will search for the the smaller blogs with big amazing stories to tell.

I don’t think I am one of those bloggers. You know the one with amazing stories. I am more like the friend you love visiting because she doesn’t mind showing you her messy kitchen and dust bunnies under the bed. The one that will make you feel at home 😉 .

So as I write this, with one boob out putting the toddler off to sleep (because this silly twat forgot to give him his reflux meds and he is squirming in pain), with a towel wrapped around my head, and hot wax in the microwave ready for me to destroy my eyebrows DEEP BREATH … I just wanted to say, please tell me before leaving if I suck at this blogging thing.

Because I really don’t like being bad company.

Well I often wonder if people would tell me the same too!
I’d like to be a bit bigger blogger but not like some of the others are!
While you’re doing the eyebrows could you pleaseeee do mine?

Eeek… I chickened out fearful of looking like Vanilla Ice in a poor attempt at shaping ;). Lets out eyebrows in the not to DIY basket!

You most certainly do not suck. You are the opposite but is that a rude word to put in a comment? I don’t know, I’m not “down” with the lingo. I do a little “yay” when I get a notification of a new blog post from you. You have such a great, admirable writing style, as if you are in the room with your reader. Keep on doing the opposite of sucking!

Oh thank you Kylie :). Being your own editor and all I am conscious of not becoming boring but if I do just say ! Some people write for themselves but I think I write for my readers.

No stabby eyeballs here, but in the same vein you’re not inspiring me to wax my own eyebrows either! 🙂

    • Mrs MMM28 April, 2013 at 12:16 pm

Lol … After I wrote this Amanda I decided it best not fiddle with wax and eyebrows. Advice I need to make everyone heed I think 😉

As always your blog gives my a chuckle if not a belly laugh! Just keep doing what you’re doing, don’t doubt yourself we all love to have a read! It is just liking sitting on the couch with you and the munchkins catching up!

    • Mrs MMM28 April, 2013 at 1:33 pm

Yes well my thoughts here are that you need to come back home so we can catch up on the couch! No more to say here. xx

Definitely no poking eyes out here either. If I’ve not had a notification in my inbox for a few days then I will go check your site just to be sure. Yours is the first blog I’ve ever read and I just love reading it. Tbh there is only one other that I read with the same affection and its littlebirdlittlebee.

And on the waxy note – I’ve been doing mine for years shape and all!! But not everyone can.

Keep writing. Keep making me laugh xo

Wow you like the local bloggers 😉 We must be doing something right. As for the eyebrows.. I think you need to You Tube it for us all to see and learn 😉

Well I know we live in a global village but I think knowing exactly and having lived here for far too long has helped me connect to you as a writer.

Blahhhh pressing send before proof reading!

I meant to say as I read what your writing I know where your talking about. This area we live in I hold quite dearly close to my heart. Not sure why. My mum moved us here is 89 and have lived here since.

Thanks Beck. It is nice to know my seriously deranged thoughts at times due to living out here doesn’t frighten people off!
